The new Shoalhaven Pre-School is now open. As part of the Shoalhaven Hospital redevelopment the Shoalhaven Community pre-school has now been relocated nearby to a new purpose-built early education centre at the southern end of the hospital campus. The new Shoalhaven Community Pre-School was delivered on time with thirty percent more capacity, ensuring continuity of service and minimising any impacts on staff and families. The Minister for Health Ryan Park and local MP Liza Butler, together with many little preschooler hands helping, cut the ribbon in celebration of the official opening on Friday 25 August 2023. This was an important milestone for the Shoalhaven Hospital Redevelopment, as the relocation of the pre-school was integral to the expansion of the hospital campus. Our littlest neighbours are thrilled with their new location: the pre-school operators tell us that they are already running at full capacity, and all with having lost a single day of operation. In addition to the new preschool, the southern end of the campus will be retained as greenspace, enhancing the area’s family-friendly atmosphere. The new facility provides a contemporary and expanded early education centre that meets the National Quality Standards for children aged between three and six years to support young families living in the area. Congratulations to all involved in this successful delivery of the pre-school.
