The construction of the new Shoalhaven Hospital café reached a significant milestone in April with the pouring of the concrete slab.

Local students name cranes

The two tower cranes supporting the delivery of the Shoalhaven Hospital Redevelopment are now known as “Larry the Lifter” and “Jane the Crane”, after being named by two local school students.

The Shoalhaven Redevelopment Hospital has reached a major milestone, with the first concrete pour for the new seven-storey acute clinical services building taking place.

Community pre-school

Shoalhaven Community pre-school has been relocated nearby to a new purpose-built early education centre at the southern end of the hospital campus. 

Construction underway on acute clinical services building

The seven-storey acute clinical services building will include a new emergency department, intensive care unit, double the number of operating theatres and endoscopy rooms, a dedicated cardiology inpatient unit and a new rooftop helipad.
